Module 4: Using the infosphere: Copernic Meta for PC

I searched for the above file on Google and decided to download it from PC World, (Copernic Technologies, 2007). Internet Explorer was required to close in order to download and install the program. Upon open Internet explorer back up the Copernic Meta toolbar was present.

There were no costs involved with the download of the program, License type was free. The version (Professional) was priced at $49.95 per license and offered 11 applications and the (Corporate) version was $59.95 per license and offered full applications x 17.

The free version is limited and offers only 4 applications:-

· Instantly find Word, Excel®, PowerPoint®, PDF, HTML, WordPerfect®, text, ZIP files and Open Office
· Quickly locate emails or attachments from Outlook®, Outlook® Express, Eudora® and Thunderbird™
· Streamline and optimize your search with specific refining fields or advanced search operators
· Instantly preview filtered matching results

It operates on the following systems Operating Systems: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 9.x, Windows Me, and Windows XP. This program seems to be popular as the download count was 59,421.

At this particular time in my studies this program really is of no extra benefit to me, I would still choose Google as my search engine.
